Types of Sittings in the Chamber of Deputies
Ordinary Sittings are carried out once a day. They last five hours for debate and deliberation. The sittings are hold from Monday to Thursday, from 2 pm to 7 pm and, on Fridays, from 9 am to 2 pm.
Extraordinary Sittings: are carried out in different days and/or hours to the ordinary sittings. They are dedicated exclusively to the discussion and deliberation on matters in the Order of Business. They last four hours, but can be extended for up to one hour.
Solemn Sittings: they are called for great celebrations or to pay special homage to important individuals.
